Get to Know Dr. Jennifer Gagnon
Dr. Jennifer (Jenna) Gagnon grew up in Wolfeboro, NH, and she’s been part of the dental world for a decade now and counting. It was when she was in college that her dad first suggested that she consider dentistry for her career path. She then spent time shadowing a local dentist and enjoyed the merging of patient care with the technical and artistic aspects of dentistry. Today, she enjoys treating patients of all ages, strives to provide the best care in a comfortable environment, and loves being able to transform someone’s smile to feel more confident in themselves!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Jenna earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of New England. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University. After graduating from dental school, Jenna was excited for the opportunity to return to Maine and went on to complete a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through Tufts University and Maine Medical Center.
Dr. Jenna continues to dedicate herself to learning the newest advancements in dentistry through comprehensive continuing education courses. She also participates in local study clubs and is a member of professional organizations like the:
- American Dental Association
- Maine Dental Association
- Greater Portland Dental Society
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Jenna and her husband Sam live in Scarborough with their son Jack, and they have another baby on the way in December 2025! In her free time, she enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, running on local trails, and sailing on Sebago Lake in the summertime. One fun fact about her is that she did a double black diamond ski trail when she was 4 years old!
